How We Got Here

How we got to our Tampa Bay☻by

My husband and I married in September of 2003. It was a small wedding of just the two of us and a Justice of the Peace in downtown Norfolk, VA. We married on a cloudy, drizzly Wednesday in the courthouse. It was one of the best days of my life. It was really hard to break it to our family that we "eloped", but it was the right thing for us at the time. We felt we claimed our independence. Kyle finished his commitment to the US Navy and life officially started for us.

Fast forward and we have lived in four cities and bought our first home in November of 2006. Too bad for us the housing bubble burst shortly after our purchase.  Luckily we are comfortable in our home and don't mind where we are for now.

We are parents to a never-tiring yellow "American" Lab named Riley, a.k.a. Boobies and a mellow Boxer "SPCA Special" named Radar, a.k.a. Monkey. They have been our "fur babies". Boobies passed away in the early spring of 2009 at the young age of just four. We will forever miss our first boy.

Scramble ahead a bit more and here we are today: Living in Tampa Bay, Florida, in our first house, with our dog and our first child born in April of 2009.

There have been more than a few stumbles along our way, and I'm sure there are MANY more to come. In the end, we know that we will be okay. We have faith in God that we will find our own way. It might get a little sticky, but we will make it through!
